Torene defines zone at Harrigan Cove, N.S.

Drilling on a former producing property at Harrigan Cove, N.S., by Torene Gold Exploration has indicated 100,000 tons in three zones grading 0.36 oz gold per ton. Average depth so far is 300 ft.

Significant potential exists for developing more tonnage, according to William A. MacPherson, president. Eight gold bearing zones have been identified on the property within an area measuring 850 ft by 1,150 ft.

Reconnaissance geochemical and vlf work on another Torene property at Mitchell Brook, N.S., shows anomalous gold values, according to Mr MacPherson. Further work is planned.

Airborne vlf and magnetic surveys are being conducted on Torene’s Brown’s Mountain Project.
