Quebec claims staked

A platinum- copper-nickel prospect has been staked by Longreach Resources in Temiskaming Cty., 60 miles south of Noranda, Que. The 24 claims were explored with geophysical surveys, trenching and 50,000 ft of drilling in the mid-l960s, resulting in reserve estimates of 438,000 tons grading 0.7% copper, 0.48% nickel and 0.53 oz platinum group metals per ton. The reserves were over a 560-ft strike length, and within 500 ft of surface. Further drill work is planned.
