A Nov 17-18 symposium of the Saskatchewan Geological Society in Regina, to be followed next day (Nov 19) by the Saskatchewan Geological Survey “Open House,” will provide one of the first over-all reviews of exploration, development and research in the province in many years.
The SGS symposium, titled Economic Minerals of Saskatchewan, includes a comprehensive technical program with papers on gold, uranium, potash, kaolin, clay, alkali sulphates, platinum group metals, base metals, aggregates and lignite.

The Geological Survey open house, in the same venue, will cover such subjects as results of mapping programs in the La Ronge gold belt, the Laonil Lake area and the Kisseynew metallotect.
