Pickle Lk. survey being released

Results of an airborne survey of the Pickle Lake, Ont., region will be released Oct 14 by the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines.

They will be released at Toronto, Thunder Bay, Sioux Lookout, Pickle Lake and Red Lake.

The survey, flown by Geoterrex Ltd., is part of a program to increase the geoscience data base in areas of the province having exploration potential.

The ministry says a total of 59 maps comprise the complete map set, and will be available for sale at the Pickle Lake community hall, the mining recorder’s office in Sioux Lookout, Red Lake and Thunder Bay and the public information centre, 99 Wellesley St. W. in Toronto.

The maps will also be available for viewing only at the Ontario Geological Survey mines library, 77 Grenville St., Toronto.

Prices for the complete set are $100, plus provincial sales tax.
