Virginia eyes Bathurst target

Having discovered four base metal showings in the James Bay region of Quebec, junior Virginia Gold Mines (VIA-M) is gearing up for a program of geophysics and trenching.

Channel and grab samples yielded up to 24.05% copper and 8.71% zinc, plus 204 grams silver per tonne, over 4 metres. All four showings are associated with weak airborne geophysical anomalies and are spread along a 10-km-long exhalative horizon that is said to be geologically similar to the Bathurst camp of New Brunswick.

Virginia has staked 115.5 sq. km in the surrounding region.
