EXPLORATION ’99 – Cameco drilling Despinassy

A 6,000-metre drill program by Cameco Gold (CCO-T) will test new targets on Major General Resources‘ (MGJ-V) newly expanded Despinassy gold project, 75 km north of Val d’Or, Que.

Major General now holds 136 claims covering 5,440 ha in the Despinassy project area. The land package was assembled to cover a potential 12-km strike length of the Despinassy deformation zone.

The winter program will consist of 4-5 holes. Two will be drilled on newly acquired claims, while two others will be drilled to close gaps in a fence of holes at the eastern end of the main Despinassy property.

The program will test the area where hole 17 cut a 21.3-metre-wide zone grading 6.42 grams gold per tonne, within a wider, low-grade zone that assayed 2.37 grams gold over 61.4 metres.
