A drill program by LatinGold (LAT-T) is testing the Nueva Esparta gold prospect in southern Colombia.
The company views the prospect, one of several found at its La Llanda concession, as having potential for a modern gold mine exploiting multi-vein systems and the surrounding stockwork envelope.
Currently, small-scale mining is taking place at the property.
The drill program is aimed at testing the tenor of the stockwork envelope around the known mineralized veins and defining reserves for the expansion of the small-scale operation.
