Quebec gov’t reports new showings

Quebec provincial geologists report new copper-nickel showings near the Lac Volant claims, northeast of Sept-Iles.

The province reports nine showings in the Havre-Saint-Pierre sector, and four showings in the Lac Tortue sector. They were discovered during the same reconnaissance mapping program that resulted in the Lac Volant copper-nickel discovery.

Alain Vezina, a spokesman for the Ministry of Natural Resources, says further work is required before more detailed results are released.
