LITERATURE REVIEW SPECIAL — Dynacor explores Acari mine

A new mill is under construction at the Acari gold project in Peru, reports Dynacor Mines (DYN-M). The crushing circuit is being tested with a 50-ton bulk sample that will enable the company to estimate the grade of an existing 4,000-ton stockpile.

Meanwhile, an independent firm is preparing a geology and mining report, including a plan to develop the main vein. Dynacor’s goal is to produce 10,000 oz. from Acai in the first year, and 20,000 oz. in the second.

The principal vein at Acari consists of a number of high-grade oreshoots.

Gold is associated with disseminated sulphides in quartz veins and/or in faults intersecting intrusives. Recent channel sampling yielded grades between 0.2 oz. and 4.8 oz. gold per ton.

The property is 428 km south of Lima, and is accessible by road. Dynacor holds a 60% interest, plus an option to increase this to 80%. The local partner, which produced 5,500 oz. gold from limited production last year, retains the minority interest.
