X-Cal strikes gold in trenches

A trenching program at the Sleeper Extension project in northern Nevada is returning encouraging results for X-Cal Resources (TSE).

In Area 1, an 80-ft. trench intersected mineralization grading 0.034 oz. gold per ton, while a 70-ft. trench hit 0.028 oz. gold. A third trench hit 45 ft. grading 0.024 oz.

A trench in Area 3 exposed 45 ft. of 0.027 oz. in a structure hosted in Tertiary rhyolite flows. This area was discovered beneath a low level soil anomaly and its geochemical signatures are consistent with Sleeper-style mineralization.

The company plans a 5,000-ft. drilling program of about 12 holes to test both areas.
