GeoNova picks up African property

Montreal-listed GeoNova Explorations has acquired an exploration concession in Burkina Faso which hosts three gold showings.

The junior will be permitted to explore the 484-sq.-km Titao concession for four years.

Two of the showings have been subjected to artisanal mining, with visible gold recovered from a 1-kg sample.

A $300,000 program of geochemical surveys will be carried out over the known showings and older, existing workings. The remainder of the property will be subjected to regional geological and geochemical surveys.

GeoNova has entered discussions with Tapestry Ventures (VSE) and Incanore Resources (VSE) concerning a possible joint venture of the Titao and other concessions in Burkina Faso. Tapestry holds one concession in Burkina Faso, while Incanore is active in that and other, neighboring countries.
