Stratabound hails the Captain’s copper grades

Vancouver – On news of decent copper grades at its Captain property near Bathurst, New Brunswick, shares of Stratabound Minerals (SB-V) jumped 9 to close at 29 July 24.

Stratabound has so far released results from 14 out of 25 holes punched in during their 2007 and 2008 5,100-metre drill programs.

Of the latest four reported on, hole 13 cut 18.5 metres grading 1.78% copper, 0.027% cobalt and 0.029% bismuth between 131 and 149.5 metres. Hole 14 hit a longer, lower-grade, intersection between 72 and 114 metres grading 0.75% copper, 0.021% cobalt and 0.011% bismuth.

Stratabound hit its longest, mineralized intersections in fall 2007 when hole 1 returned 57.5 metres grading 1.0% copper and 0.05% cobalt and hole 3 cut 58 metres grading 1.2% copper and 0.07% cobalt.

Stratabound believes the mineralized area strikes north to south and dips 60 degrees to the west. The company says it is open along strike and down dip.

The property is part of its 4,200 hectare Bathurst Camp properties which includes the CNE property, a zinc-lead-silver-gold open pit mine that the company operated between 1990 and 1992.
