A new resource calculation for Silver Eagle Mines (SEG-T) has substantially increased the indicated resource at the Miguel Auza deposit in northern Zacatecas state, Mexico.
The new estimate shows 1.5 million tonnes grading 2.08% lead, 2.13% zinc, 147 grams silver and 0.18 gram gold per tonne on the Calvario A vein, the longest of the known structures on the deposit. Another 476,000 tonnes on the vein are classed as inferred, at grades of 1.32% lead, 1.28% zinc, 150 grams silver and 0.19 gram gold.
On the Calvario B vein, there is an indicated resource of 169,000 tonnes with 2.4% lead, 3.09% zinc, 120 grams silver and 0.21 gram gold per tonne, plus a small inferred resource. A third vein, Milagro, hosts 351,000 tonnes grading 1.88% lead, 1.86% zinc, 143 grams silver and 0.17 gram gold per tonne, all in indicated resources.
Two other veins, Calvario C and North, carry inferred resources; C has 122,000 tonnes at 1.84% lead, 1.28% zinc, 130 grams silver and 0.14 gram gold, and North 177,000 tonnes at 0.63% lead, 0.44% zinc, 625 grams silver and 0.22 gram gold.
Three drills are working now on the project for further resource definition, and a pre-feasibility study is planned.
