Freewest to drill deeper at Clarence Stream

Freewest Resources (FWR-V) intersected visible gold in all recent drill holes at its Clarence Stream property, 70 km southwest of Fredericton, NB.

The company is testing a 1,000-metre long portion within the deeper levels of the Central zone between depths of 200 and 300 metres. Freewest was also testing proximal deposits surrounding the zone at the same depth.

Highlights include a 7-metre intersection grading 6.59 grams gold per tonne and another 7 metres grading 3.59 grams gold per tonne, which were among the deepest intercepts so far.

Freewest says the drilling shows the deposit has potential at depth.

The Central zone has the largest resource on the Clarence Stream property with 348,000 tonnes grading 7.42 grams gold per tonne, or about 83,000 oz. gold in the indicated category.

Metallurgical testing that involved a cyanidation study on a 120 kg sample, showed the head grade of the Central zone averaged 8 grams gold per tonne with a 90.4% recovery rate.

The AD zone has an indicated resource of 180,000 tonnes grading 7.83 grams gold per tonne, or 44,000 oz. gold as well as 6.4 million lbs. of antimony.
