We’d like to thank you for being part of the Great Canadian Treasure Hunt. The enthusiasm and participation across Canada have exceeded our expectations!

We first would like to apologize as some of you didn’t receive the Dawson Bonus Prize clue by email. Every clue matters, and subscribers like you should always be first to know. That’s why we’ve already made improvements to ensure future clues reach you on time.

Being a subscriber is about more than just getting clues, it’s about having an advantage in the hunt. You’re the first to hear updates, the first to get hints, and the only group that receives exclusive rewards like this one.

As a thank you for your patience, here’s a subscriber-only clue for the Grand Prize:

“The treasure rests where shadows play,
Above the earth yet tucked away—
It shall not see the midnight sun.”

« Le trésor repose là où jouent les ombres,
Au-dessus de la terre mais bien dissimulé —
Jamais il ne verra le soleil de minuit. »

The Dawson Prize has been claimed and verified, but all other treasures, including the Grand Prize, remain unclaimed! Your advantage as a subscriber could make all the difference in finding them.

FAQ Update

We’re also posting the following update to our FAQ on our website:

The Dawson Prize
Neither The Northern Miner nor EarthLabs or the Sponsors of the Great Canadian Treasure Hunt have knowledge of the specific hiding places of any prizes. The individual who claimed the Dawson Prize did not disclose the precise location, which we respect as part of the mystery of the hunt.

How was it verified?
All prizes are verified through the official claim process. In this case, the winner submitted both a photo and the correct claim code through the claim form, which our team confirmed shortly before announcing the result. Our goal is to issue a press release and announce winners within 24–48 hours of successful submission and verification.

Other common questions

Have any of the other treasures been found?
No. To date, only Dawson has been successfully claimed and verified. We have not received any other verified claims through the Treasure Claim form.

Does the Grand Prize poem contain information about the Bonus Prizes?
The Grand Prize treasure poem and the Bonus Prize clues are separate. Each Bonus Prize has its own dedicated set of clues. Any further interpretation is part of the challenge and the fun of the hunt.

Is there a set schedule for releasing Bonus Prize clues?
Clues are released monthly, although exact dates may vary. Subscribers will continue to receive these clues in advance of the general public.

Thank you for being part of the Treasure Hunt community! The biggest prizes are still out there, waiting to be discovered.

Happy hunting,
The Northern Miner Team
