JV Video: ReeXploration adds uranium target at Eureka

JV Video: ReeXploration adds uranium target at EurekaReeXploration's Interim CEO Christopher Drysdale (R) chats with TNM anchor Devan Murugan.

Canada’s ReeXploration (TSXV: REE) is widening the scope at its Eureka project in Namibia  to include a large Rössing-style uranium target that the company says complements the asset’s rare earths discovery.

The new target is southwest of the Eureka Dome in the Erongo mining district, about 250 km north of the capital Windhoek, and follows airborne data outlining a 6.5 km by 3.5 km uranium-high, thorium-low radiometric zone. Early field work reported scintillometer readings up to 1,500 counts per second and portable XRF values up to 853 parts per million uranium, according to Interim CEO Christopher Drysdale.

“Adding uranium doesn’t distract from our focus on critical minerals; it strengthens it,” Drysdale told The Northern Miner anchor Devan Murugan. “This sits exactly where you’d want a Rössing-style deposit – on the flanks of a basement dome – and gives us meaningful optionality for shareholders.”

The uranium is in weathered leucogranites, along a structural corridor that also hosts Namibia’s Rössing, Husab, Etango, Omaholo and Norasa deposits.

Next steps include completing spectrometer coverage over the uranium anomaly, advancing geochemistry on rare earth targets and defining drill programs, with Drysdale guiding to a rare earths program in the first quarter and early uranium drilling to follow.
