The Young Mining Professionals (YMP) association in partnership with The Northern Miner will be hosting the second annual YMP Awards on March 3, 2018, at Toronto’s Shangri-La Hotel during the opening weekend of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) convention.

The YMP Awards are named after two iconic Canadian mining entrepreneurs: Peter Munk and Eira Thomas. The YMP Awards recognizes two young mining entrepreneurs, a male and a female, who over the past year, and during the course of their careers, have shown exceptional leadership skills and innovative thinking to provide value for their companies and shareholders as well as for themselves.
