Yukon, Alaska in joint effort

Alaska and the Yukon have entered a joint Mineral Development Program.

The two jurisdictions will share information pertaining to geology, technology and regulations in an attempt to protect the northern environment and allow for responsible mining.

The governments will also share educational materials related to mining and will work to promote public awareness of the importance of the industry to northern economies.
