YGC outlines reserves for Ketza

Yukon explorer YGC Resources (YGC-V) is calculating a reserve for its Grew Creek gold property near Ross River.

The company has drilled 18 holes to confirm the minability of the open-pit portion of the deposit previously estimated to contain 173,000 tonnes grading 12 grams gold per tonne.

YGC plans to truck Grew Creek material to its 400-tonne-per-day Ketza River mill, 90 km away.

Meanwhile, the company has started drill-testing targets at the Ketza River property in an effort to outline minable reserves.

One of the largest targets on the property is the Shamrock, which constitutes a large geochemical anomaly 2 km long and up to 800 metres wide.

Recent sampling at Shamrock identified an intensely altered mineralized breccia outcrop 150 metres south of a previously drilled hole that returned 3.7 grams gold over its entire 105-metre length.

YGC will begin drilling the Shamrock anomaly in late June. Recent results from Grew Creek are shown below:
