X-Cal to drill Snowbird gold bet

The first phase of the program will test the “North zone,” where 1988 drilling returned intersections of up to 0.30 oz gold per ton over 20 ft. The second phase, consisting of about six holes, will test the new “East zone,” where percussion drilling and surface trenching has indicated a large gold anomaly associated with felsic dykes and silicified argillites.

Following the drill programs, a complete review of the gold zones on the property will be undertaken in preparation for upcoming development work, the company says.

Gold mineralization on the Snowbird property occurs in sulphide- rich quartz veins, silicified sedimentary rocks, and felsic dykes.
