Writing award

A writer for The Northern Miner is the winner of one of a number of journalism awards presented at the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy annual general meeting.

Staff writer Laima Dingwall won honorable mention in the news reporting category of the cim Awards, instituted in 1985 and presented for “balanced and technically accurate news reporting, that best enhances public understanding of the minerals industry and its contribution to the economic and social well-being of Canada.”
