Junior World Wide Minerals (TSE) has optioned three Ecuadorean properties from Ag Armeno Mines and Minerals (VSE).
Two of the concessions, La Pinta and Andoa, are in the north and contain several “Lornex-type” porphyry copper-gold targets.
World Wide has carried out geochemical studies and identified anomalous areas that warrant follow-up geophysical surveys and drilling.
The third property, Chilla 1, is in the southwestern Portovelo-Zaruma gold district, where previous work delineated a gold-bearing feldspar dyke with the potential for yielding a large, low-grade, open-pit gold mine. Ag and World Wide intend to enter option agreements on six additional concessions, all of which are believed to have the potential for open-pit copper-gold targets, as well as gold porphyry and polymetallic deposits.
