Organizers of the precious metals investment conference, The Gold Show, have announced that a second Gold Show will be held in New York City at the World Trade Center June 13-26. The show will be the largest precious metals conference along the U.S. northeast corridor.

The conference, which is designed to educate the investing public and the financial community about all aspects of today’s precious metal markets, will include exhibitions of publicly-traded mining companies, gold-oriented mutual funds, gold, silver and platinum bullion and coins, and paper instruments. The show is sponsored by the Mining Journal, a precious metals magazine published in London, England. Various topics

Seminars and company management presentations conducted by international experts from around the world will address such topics as The Monetary Role of Gold, Opportunities in Precious Metals — Gold, Platinum and Silver, An Outlook and Evaluation on Australian, Canadian and U.S. Mining, Investing in Coins and Bullion — How to Avoid the Most Common Pitfalls and A Trader’s Perspective on Gold.

“Recent surveys tell us that one out of every 12 American adults has purchased precious metals at some time. We also know that, as a result of economic and political uncertainty, more and more investors are turning their attention to gold, silver and platinum,” stated Sandy Lawrence, president of The Gold Show.

“Today, investors are faced with more metals investment options than ever before — from legal tender bullion coins to mutual funds. The purpose of The Gold Show is to provide conference attendees with the latest information on a wide range of metals-related subjects so they can make better- educated investment decisions for themselves and/or their clients.”

According to Martin Rothman, marketing director of The Gold Show, attendees will have a unique opportunity to pose questions directly to the senior management of leading brokerage, metals and mining companies. “It is not very often that investors in the northeast have the opportunity to listen to and meet such a diversity of precious metal experts at one time,” stated Rothman. “At The Gold Show, we are offering investors one- stop shopping within a growing industry.”

As part of the Monday pre-show program, Shearson Lehman Hutton will be holding a one-day seminar for diversified companies with a strong interest in gold. Another special program offered that day is Exploration and Mining Explained for Brokers and Market Watchers, by Van Eck Management.
