Workshop on scientific drilling

A 2-day workshop sponsored by the Canadian Continental drilling program and the Geological Survey of Canada will be held on Nov 23 – 24, in Building 3, Observatory Crescent, Ottawa, to stimulate discussion of generic problems concerning greenstone belts and associated granitoids, and to consider the addressing of such problems through drilling. Greenstone belts provide much of Canada’s mineral wealth and so have been extensively drilled by industry. For more information contact: Dr. P. Thurston at (416) 965-1827 or Dr. Malcolm Drury at (613) 564- 7522/995-5478.
