Work starts at Unuk River project

A program of geological mapping and geochemical sampling is in progress on the Unuk River project, about 40 miles north of Stewart, B.C., and four miles southeast of the Eskay Creek 21 zone discovery. Granges (TSE) can earn a 50% interest in the property from Cove Energy (VSE) and Springer Resources (VSE), which will hold 12.5% and 37.5% respectively after the earn-in.

The sampling and mapping program will cover Zone 2 and the Beedee zones. A diamond drilling program is expected to start on Aug. 1 to further test the Zone 1 and “R” zone areas. Drilling on Zone 1 will follow up trenching on an intensely silicified shear structure which hosts sphalerite, galena, chalcopyrite and arsenopyrite mineralization. The trenching returned values of up to 0.33 oz. gold per ton over 9.8 ft.

Drilling on the “R” zone will investigate surface values of up to 0.21 oz. gold and 6.06 oz. silver per ton from pyrite and arsenopyrite bearing structures.
