Toronto-based Geddes Resources (TSE) has almost completed a 7,000-ft adit at the Windy Craggy copper-gold-cobalt-zinc project in northwestern B.C., shareholders were told at the company’s recent annual meeting.
Designed to intersect the Windy Craggy orebody, the main adit has been driven a distance of 6,075 ft, said Chairman Geddes Webster.
As reported, (N.M., June 29/87), the Windy Craggy deposit is thought to contain around 300 million tons grading 1.5% copper, 2 lb cobalt, and measurable amounts of silver and gold.
The company recently started work on the first diamond drilling station at the remote project and the initial drill hole was completed at a depth of 1,085 ft on March 28.
“The mineralized sections are comparable to those in the main adit and hole 83-14 (which intersected 0.29 oz gold per tonne from 1,370 ft to 1,542 ft including 77.7 ft of 0.52 oz in 1983), said Webster.
As part of a continuing underground program, six drill stations are now in place on the south side of the main adit in a line parallel to the main zone.
According to Webster, a 35,000-ft drill program (currently under way) will test 1,100 ft of a 6,000-ft mineralized zone from seven drill stations currently under construction on the north side of the adit.
The program is designed to target the 200-ft gold-copper intersection encountered in hole 83-14.
