Wilkie drilling uncovers sulphides

An intersection of sulphide mineralization has been encountered by Noranda Exploration at a property near Timmins, Ont.

The discovery was made on a 26-claim block in Wilkie Twp., 70 km east of that city, report joint owners Glen Auden Resources (TSE) and Cross Lake Minerals (VSE).

Noranda may earn a 70% interest in the property by making cash payments and performing at least $200,000 worth of exploration.

The hole was drilled to a depth of about 264 metres to test a 300-metre-long finite, ground electromagnetic anomaly that coincides with a mafic-felsic volcanic contact adjacent to the North Destor Porcupine Fault zone.
