Wildrose bullish on Spanish Mountain

Vancouver — Drilling by Wildrose Resources (WRS-V) has ex-panded gold mineralization on the Spanish Mountain project in British Columbia’s Cariboo region and, in the process, boosted its open-pit potential.

The announcement follows the release of results from the first five holes of a 16-hole program of reverse-circulation drilling.

Highlights are as follows:

– hole 235 — 94.5 metres grading 1.81 grams gold per tonne starting at a down-hole depth of 23 metres (the hole bottomed in mineralization at 117.4 metres and includes a higher-grade interval of 2.35 grams gold over 65.5 metres).

– hole 236 — 27.4 metres grading 1.09 grams gold and 21.4 metres of 1.41 grams gold.

On the downside, two reconnaissance holes came back empty after one stepped out 650 metres west of hole 235; the other was abandoned because of caving.

Stratigraphically controlled mineralization at Spanish Mountain occurs in conformable layers of pyritized shale and siltstone, whereas structural mineralization occurs in sheared and broken material in association with quartz.

Wildrose has a 70% interest in the Spanish Mountain project, with the remainder held by Skygold Ventures (SKV-V).
