White Knight drills Indian Ranch

A drill program by White Knight Resources (WKR-V) is testing the Indian Ranch gold property on the Cortez trend in Nevada.

About 8,000 ft. of drilling in eight holes is planned. The work is being funded by Chapleau Resources (CHI-V) in exchange for a 50% interest.

The partners are searching for Carlin-type gold deposits. Work to date has indicated potential for a large gold system in juxtaposition with a buried window of Lower Plate carbonate, more particularly Roberts Mountain Formation (a preferred setting in which to explore for Carlin-type deposits).

White Knight and Chapleau are jointly exploring other gold projects in Nevada in hopes of finding “Carlin-type” gold deposits.

Nevada produces about 80 million oz. gold annually — about 70% of U.S. production.
