A new line of cast stainless steel knife gate valves has been introduced by De Zurik (Sartell, Minn.) for on-off and throttling application in the mining indus try.
Available in 2- to 12-inch sizes, they feature a cast 316 stainless steel body , 304 stainless steel stem and 316 stainless steel gate and seat. The valves are designed to handle clean, dirty and viscous liquids; sludge; abrasive and fibrous slurries; and dry material.
DeZurik says double-pitch threads on the stainless steel stem minimize wear and reduce the number of turns required to open and close a valve. The one-piece c ast body and bronze yoke bushings are corrosion-resistant.
A full, round port allows high flow capacity with minimum pressure drop.
