WHAT’S NEW Another Small Scoop

Wagner Mining Equipment of Portland, Ore., has joined John Clark (see What’s New in our December issue) in offering an electrical-powered load- haul-dump machine. Called the Mini-scoop, Wagner’s unit has a bucket capacity of 0.50 cu yd and has a tramming capacity of 1,500 lb. It is powered by an ac, 3-phase, 50 or 60 Hz Reliance electric motor.

The company says it wanted to deliver a unit with good stability, excellent controls for the operator, and a reliable cable-reel handling system incorporating a maximum amount of cable.

The Mini-scoop is 13 ft, 8 inches in length, 33 inches wide and 47 1/2 inches high.

The unit will accept more than 252 ft of standard-sized cable.
