Westmin’s Myra Falls drilling confirms zones’ grade, width

Two recent holes drilled by Westmin Resources (TSE) returned ore-grade intersections from the Gap/Battle zone areas at the company’s Myra Falls mine property near Campbell River, B.C.

Hole 15-463 returned 9 metres grading 1.1% copper, 0.3% lead, 11.2% zinc plus 1.1 grams gold and 60 grams silver per tonne. Westmin noted that this intersection exhibits characteristics of both Gap and Battle ore. A second hole, 14-731, returned a 10.6-metre intersection visually estimated to grade 1.5% copper and 15% zinc and extended tonnage to the east. At last report, the Gap and Battle zone discoveries were estimated to contain minable reserves totalling 1.7 million tonnes grading 2.2% copper, 10.9% zinc and significant precious metals.
