Western Quebec drills Dubuisson

Two drill rigs are active on the Dubuisson East gold property in the Val d’Or, Que., area, Western Quebec Mines (TSE) reports.

Western, which optioned the property from Republic Goldfields (VSE), is testing the continuity, grade and tonnage of a zone previously outlined by Republic. The work is expected to be completed by the end of February. Results from the first three holes are encouraging, Western says. Hole 78-01 intersected 14.6 grams gold per tonne over 3 metres (2.2 metres true width). Hole 78-02, 34 metres south of 01, returned 13.14 grams over 2.9 metres (2.1 metres true width). Hole 78-06, 20 metres east of 01 and reporting the deepest of the three intersections (143.5-145.15 metres), cut 7.22 grams over 1.55 metres (1.2 metres true width).
