The mineral occurrences database of the British Columbia government, MINFILE/pc Version 3.0, is available in an on-line form.
Users may gain access to MINFILE/online by dialing INFO-DATA Online Bulletin Board System (IDOL BBS) at (604) 684-6577 via a modem. MINFILE/online is a 60-Mb database which tracks more than 11,000 mineral occurrences throughout the province.
The IDOL BBS also contains the MIN-MET Canada and MIN-MET USA databases, which track the corporate details of all North American public and reporting mining and mineral exploration companies and their properties worldwide.
