West African extends program

Trenching results suggest the Anwia anomaly on the Teleku-Bokazo property in western Ghana has widespread gold mineralization.

West Africa Mining Exploration (CDN) reports that two trenches, dug on the main trend of the anomaly, assayed 2.87 grams gold per tonne over 82 metres and 1.17 grams over 71 metres.

West African plans to extend the trenches and dig others so as to test the 1,000-by-300-metre anomaly.

This work will be used as a basis for follow-up drilling.

The company has also carried out soil sampling and geological mapping over 20% of the Teleku-Bokazo concession.

Most of this work occurred in an area north of the Anwia anomaly, where an airborne survey has defined a potassium radiometric anomaly.
