Welcome explores Trout gold property

A large quartz breccia zone has been outlined on Welcome North Mines’ Trout gold property near Vanderhoof, B.C. The company says a comprehensive exploration program is under way to determine the heap leach potential of the property.

The zone has a dimension of 1,600 by 1,000 ft and hosts values up to 0.58 oz gold per ton over 16 ft, says Welcome North. Kerr Addison drilled a small portion of the silicified zone two years ago and the results included gold assays up to 0.1 oz over a 19-ft interval. A 4,000-ft reverse circulation drilling program is scheduled for mid-July.

Welcome North can earn a 50% interest in the property from Kerr Addison for an expenditure of $300,000 by Dec 31, 1989.
