Fifteen geotechnical specialists and engineers from now-defunct BLM Engineering have joined Wardrop, an engineering and consulting firm based in Toronto.
Wardrop had completed several projects with Sudbury-based BLM, before the latter folded as a result of financial trouble. Wardrop specializes in mine site development, procurement, project management and construction. Its projects include the Kam-Kotia reclamation project, near Timmins, Ont., and Placer Dome’s Musselwhite gold mine, in northwestern Ontario. The company employs 450 people worldwide.
