Vancouver — With an airborne geophysical survey now complete over the 165-sq.-km Crystal diamond property in Manitoba, junior Valerie Gold Resources (VLG-V) is gearing up to drill-test three targets on its newly acquired Walker Lane gold project near Gabbs, Nev.
Located some 20 km south of the Paradise Peak gold-silver mine, the Walker Lane property is covered by Miocene felsic volcanics considered prospective for “low-sulphidation-type” gold targets.
The junior plans to test three zones with an eight-hole, 1,150-metre drill program, which is scheduled to begin in September.
Four of the holes are slated for the 670-by-180-metre Ron prospect, which is marked by two sheeted quartz vein structures.
The Pat breccia target measures 460 metres by 100 metres and will be tested by three holes.
The remaining hole will be collared on the 300-by-200-metre Don alteration target.
Valerie Gold can acquire the property by issuing 200,000 shares and making cash payments of US$70,000 over a two-year period. The vender retains a 2.5% net smelter royalty on any gold-silver production.
In Manitoba, a newly completed airborne geophysical survey has outlined a number of magnetic anomalies over the Crystal diamond property.
The junior aims to run ground geophysics over the anomalies in order to define prospective drill targets for next year.
