Results of Waddy Lake Resources’ (TSE) evaluation of its Komis deposit at La Ronge, Sask., should be available by the end of July, as sample concentrate undergoes the last phase of testing.
The $5.6-million evaluation project is aimed at determining the geometry and grade continuity of the deposit, estimated to contain 303,000 tonnes grading 16 grams gold per tonne.
“The evaluation process has taken longer than anticipated due to the volume of data obtained from various phases of the project,” President Larry Lahusen said.
However, he hopes a full technical evaluation and feasibility study will be completed by the end of the summer.
A 10,940-ton bulk sample was test-milled at the Jolu mill of Golden Rule Resources (TSE), Waddy’s majority shareholder with a 56% interest. The concentrate produced is being evaluated through a series of sampling and metallic assaying in order to determine the total gold content.
