The latest drilling results from the Grevet M zinc-copper-silver project near Matagami, Que., should significantly increase reserve estimates, say project partners VSM Exploration (ME) and Serem Quebec. Current reserves stand at 6.2 million tonnes grading 8.65% zinc, 0.48% copper and 33.93 grams silver per tonne; 1.9 million tonnes are in the probable category and 4.3 million tonnes in the possible category. An economic study for the property, to incorporate the new results, is being prepared by Kilborn and Associates.
The partners say preliminary results of metallurgical tests performed at Lakefield indicate a zinc and copper recovery rate of above 90%.
