Voisey Bay to be featured at June seminar in Toronto

The Toronto Geological Discussion Group will present a seminar and update on Diamond Fields Resources’ nickel-copper-cobalt discovery in the Voisey Bay region of coastal Labrador.

The event will be held at 3:30 p.m. on June 26, in the civic ballroom of the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Toronto.

The program is expected to begin with a presentation by Dr. A. Naldrett, a professor at the University of Toronto and a consultant to Diamond Fields. Naldrett will compare Voisey Bay with other major nickel deposits in the world.

Bruce Ryan of the Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Mines and Energy will then provide an overview of Voisey Bay, its geological setting and the potential for more deposits of this type to be found.

Richard Garnett, a director of Diamond Fields, will discuss exploration taking place on the Voisey Bay site.

Garnett’s talk will be followed by a question period, and refreshments.

Tickets cost $20 and are available at the door. They can be purchased in advance by phoning Conwest Exploration at (416) 362-6721. Fax: (416) 362-0069.
