Virginia, Diabior active in Eastmain

Joint-venture partners Virginia Gold Mines (ME) and Explorations Diabior (TSE) have staked 92 claims covering 341 sq. km in the Eastmain volcanic belt of northwestern Quebec.

An area containing geochemical anomalies and several gold showings has been identified. (In 1936, Dome Mines drilled one of the showings, intersecting 46 ft. which averaged 1.32 grams gold per tonne).

Recent sampling by the partners on their Eastmain and Auclair properties has confirmed the presence of several gold-bearing zones associated with a sheared diorite intrusive. Elsewhere on the properties, several mineralized intrusives and sheared iron formations have been identified.
