Vior expands new Douay zone

A new zone on the Douay gold property in Quebec’s Casa Berardi region has been outlined over a strike length of 1,000 ft., a width of 500 ft. and a thickness of 15-45 ft., reports Societe d’Exploration Miniere Vior (ME).

Zone 531, discovered last January, occurs in a sub-horizontal pyritized breccia about 1,000 ft. below the surface. The width and grade vary considerably from one hole to the other, but the zone remains open in all directions, the company says.

A new drilling program is scheduled to begin this month. Results from zone 531 to date include:

Hole Width(ft.) Gold (oz./ton)

70531-2 23.7 0.35

40.0 0.10

incl. 40.0 0.17
