An exploration program is in progress on ground held by Villeneuve Resources in the Mishibishu Lake area. Located west of Wawa, Ont., the property is believed to host geology similar to that occurring on ground four miles to the east. Here, Central Crude and Noranda have outlined a large shear zone striking for more than four miles.
Near Pickle Lake, Ont., Villeneuve has completed a drill program on its Duffel Lake property. Drilling failed to cut economic gold mineralization. Samples of core assayed from trace to 0.01 oz gold per ton. Scattered samples assayed up to 0.12 oz.
