Urgent deadline

The British Columbia & Yukon Chamber of Mines is reminding individuals and organizations to submit written briefs in response to government proposals to increase parks and wilderness areas.

“This is your opportunity to have a say in the future of British Columbia, and more specifically, the future of mining in this province – to make your case for the environment, the economy, your job and your future,” said Linda Thorstad, the chamber’s land use manager.

Briefs and letters may be sent to Provincial Parks and Wilderness for the 90s, P.O. Box 77, 800 Johnson St., Victoria, B.C., V8V 1X4. Also, copies may be sent to the premier and MLAs and to the B.C. and Yukon Chamber of Mines, 840 West Hastings St., Vancouver, B.C., V6C 1C8.
