The improved uranium market enabled Uranium Resources (URIX-Q) to report net earnings of US$262,000 for its 1996 fourth quarter, compared with a loss of US$41,000 for the same period a year earlier.
The Texas-based uranium producer posted net income of US$759,000 on revenue of US$24.2 million for 1996, compared with a net loss of US$936,000 on revenue of US$21.8 million for 1995.
Uranium deliveries totalled 1.6 million lb. for 1996, slightly above deliveries in 1995.
