Unlisted Trading — Mountain Beaver busy

Drilling at a massive sulphide deposit near Amos, Que., generated much investor interest in Mountain Beaver Resources. The company’s stock was in a low-high range of 40-62 cents and 212,850 shares changed hands during the week ended Feb. 4. As well, Mountain Beaver shareholders may choose to exercise their warrants before Feb. 22.

Gold Fields Canadian Mining is exploring the property; results are not expected before the end of February.

Also active was Pelangio-Larder Mines, which has 30 claims that form part of a $1-million exploration program being conducted by Kennecott Canada and TSE-listed Deak Resources on land adjoining Deak’s gold mine at Virginiatown, Ont. Pelangio traded 205,000 shares in a 44-64 cents range.

Holcorp Mines is planning an offering. Subject to regulatory approval, the company will offer common shares and distribute more than 3.6 million units (shares and warrants) to be issued upon exercise of the junior’s previously issued special warrants. Holcorp was $1 bid, $1.10 ask on the week.
