Additional ground has been acquired by United Reef Petroleums near Madoc, Ont. United, which now has 110 claims in the area, says the ground was acquired for its gold potential. Gold showings sampled by the company yielded assays ranging up to 0.22 oz gold per ton.
Near Shefferville, Que., United controls 32,000 acres which are being explored for platinum group metals. An airborne geophysical survey is planned for April.
United also reports poor drill results from its Guibord Twp., Ont., gold property near Matheson.
