United Siscoe changes name

Changes at United Siscoe Mines have resulted in a corporate reorganization and a name change. United Siscoe, which owns about 25% of American Barrick Resources, is now The Horsham Corporation.

Appointed president of Horsham, which will continue to be listed on the tse and me, was Ian Delaney, formerly president of Merrill Lynch Canada. Named vice- president finance was Michael Riley.

Horsham, whose 25% ownership of American Barrick represents a controlling interest in the gold- mining firm, is described as an investment company which “will actively seek and invest in businesses with long-term growth prospects in Canada, the U.S. and abroad.” American Barrick will be its only investment connection with the gold-mining industry.

Peter Munk is chairman of both Horsham and American Barrick.
