A reverse circulation drilling program is expected to start shortly on the Alameda and Clio properties recently acquired by United Gold Corp. Located in the Mother Lode area of California, the two properties cover more than two miles of potential strike.
On the Clio ground, two anomalous areas have been outlined. The first extends for 2,400 ft and averages 600 parts per billion gold. The second zone is subparallel to the first and also strikes for 2,400 ft. Gold values in the second zone average 580 ppb. Such values, although important and warranting further exploration, are not economic.
Both properties are near Sonora Gold Corp.’s Jamestown project which is expected to enter production in early 1987.
